Students at Choice will receive a world-class academic education that will equip them with
the skills necessary to graduate from high school and become effective leaders in the 21st century.
Literacy Lifelines will emphasize critical thought, sophistication in reading and writing, understanding of relevance and application of learning in real-world contexts, reflection, and cooperative learning. Through critical inquiry and service learning projects, students will examine important social issues, develop a personal philosophy and vision, and act as thoughtful, effective community leaders.
Choice operates under a core set of beliefs and values. Our staff will embody these values and students will be expected to uphold these values throughout their time at the Academy.
At Choice, we expect:
Teachers to get to know students and focus on their hopes, dreams, strengths, and weaknesses.
Students to understand the “secret connection” that exists between education, the world of work, and their future.
Students to learn to be self-motivated, problem solvers, decision makers, lifelong learners, and computer savvy.
Positive changes to take place in the lives of students, parents/guardians, teachers, staff, and community stakeholders.
A relentless pursuit of excellence and mediocrity to never be an option.
The staff and students of Choice to value and choose to have a relationship with God.
Students, families, and staff to espouse our motto: “For with God, nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37)
